Hyundai Verna 2017: One of the much-anticipated cars of the year Hyundai Verna 2017 launched in India. The company has unveiled the glimpse of the latest Hyundai Verna back in September 2016, a year ago. The car is mostly identical to the earlier Hyundai Verna and the Elantra for the features it borrowed from these predecessors. All new-Hyundai Verna gets some cosmetic changes with a re-designed body language.

The South Korean based car manufacturer has listed the 2017 Hyundai Verna Petrol price starting at Rs.7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The top end model in the 2017 Hyundai Verna Petrol prices up to Rs.12,23,900. On the other hand, Hyundai Verna 2017 Diesel price starts at Rs.9,19,900 and goes up to Rs.12,61,900 depending on the variant. However, the company has said that these prices will only be applicable for the first 20,000 customers.
Hyundai Verna 2017 Features:
2017 Hyundai Verna gets a single-piece hexagonal grille which is a considerable change over on the front end. The newly designed projector headlamps add more beauty to the front portion of the car along with the re-designed chrome housed fog lamps in the bumper.
Built in the new-generation Hyundai ‘K2’ platform, 2017 Verna borrows the company’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The dual-tone interior treatment in beige and black colors gives the looks of a premium car. While the high-spec variant gets leather up-hosiery which adds more beauty to the Verna inner view.
On infotainment font, there is a 7-inch touchscreen system which supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Besides that, it also gets MirrorLink along with the Hyundai iBlue audio smartphone app.
The lower trims get regular alloys or steel wheels while the top end models get 16-inch diamond cut alloys. The new-generation Hyundai Verna comes with creature comforts like rear AC vents, cruise control, a sun-roof and segment first cooled seats as well.
Hyundai Verna 2017 Engine Specifications:
The new-gen Hyundai Verna gets 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines discontinuing 1.4-litre engines in earlier Verna. The 1.6-litre petrol engine on latest Verna makes 121 bhp and churns out 151 Nm peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel trim makes 126 bhp and releases 260 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated with either a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmit unit.
Considering the latest Hyundai Verna price and specifications, the vehicle will stands tough amongst competitors. The company believes that the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Honda City will be the closest rivals to the Hyundai Verna 2017.
