Yesterday, Google WebVR on Chrome was announced and now will be supported in Google Cardboard as well. The immersive experience is just a click away if you have an Android phone and the virtual reality headset. Publishers can now build VR content for any device with the WebVR browser as a WebVR experiment.

Google has bought the Virtual Reality (VR) support for to Chrome last year which offers fully immersive experience with Chrome, Daydream-ready phone, and Daydream View headset. Now, it brings the WebVR on Chrome to Google Cardboard, and this allows any Android phone user with Cardboard to experience VR on the web.

These WebVR experiments hint the future possibilities which can be explored in VR. “Each experiment shows something different you can try in WebVR. If you don’t have Cardboard or Daydream, you can still play on desktop or any phone in 2D,” said Google.

Hope this could fill the content gap which supports the new technology. Also, Google is encouraging developers to build on VR by providing resources and open source code for them.
