Google integrates with Online Food Partners for Food Ordering

Hi Foodies! We got the Great News for you. Google got some changes in displaying the search results for the users who searches for the food restaurants and reservations.  The users can able to place the food orders and even reserve the table in the required hotels or nearby restaurants directly from their phone.

Currently, this feature is available for the Google’s Android and iOS application and the Google search done on the mobile. Google made this happen after partnering with Zomato for delivering and processing the food orders and table reservations, Swiggy for Food delivery and the Table reservations Dineout & Bytplus.

When the users search for the nearby restaurants on their device, Google provides an option to “Place an Order” or “Find a Table” in the search results along with the details of the restaurant like Description, Address, timings and reviews.

As per the user requirement and clicks on any of these options, then they are redirected to the particular mobile website or the mobile app to complete the transaction. For example, if the user taps on finding a table from the required restaurant through Zomato, redirects to the mobile site of Zomato, and you can complete the bookings.

Google is planning to make the improvements and the enhancements for adding more partners to involve in this and also “look and feel over time.”

Zomato is one of the launch partners for Apple’s new maps platform. Which is expected to arrive in the next month alongside iOS 10 release in the next month. With this update, the iOS users can directly make the table bookings from the Apple maps.
