Facebook live on desktop

Facebook now allows its desktop users to go live using their webcam. Earlier, this Facebook live feature is made available only for pages that too on mobile devices. Later it rolled out to individuals and now here is the Facebook live on desktop. The social networking giant is making a great push towards it streaming videos on its platform.

Now, the Facebook desktop site also get a live video button for streaming video. Earlier, the option is only provided for the pages. But now, the Facebook allows each of its user to go live with a webcam. Furthermore, the company also provides enhancements to attach sophisticated hardware for high-quality broadcasting.

Moving forward, gaming companies and gamers can use Facebook to attract a streaming audience on their Pages and profiles.

“If you’re a gamer, this new feature makes it easier than ever to stream your PC gameplay to friends and followers and engage with them while you play. If you’re giving your friends or followers a tutorial or how-to guide, you can incorporate on-screen graphics, titles, and overlays. Or if you’re an artist, you can go live and switch seamlessly between cameras as you narrate the process.” Facebook notes.

The Live video option will be appeared along with the Check-in, Activities, and others on the top of the Timeline/NewsFeed. Streaming a live video is simple like posting a status as shows in the same way when it did with a phone.

After the success of its Live video feature, Facebook is looking forward to broadcasting original TV-like programs. This will include various genres and Facebook may compensate huge amounts for it. The social networking giant is interested in original content from different genres and is willing to pay high for each episode. These would be probably weekly series which each show last for 30 minutes
