Tollywood Veteran Director and Former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao got hospitalized today. After getting Breath related issues Narayana Rao was shifted to KIMS, Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences.

Known as one of the big head of Tollywood, Dasari was also a busy politician. He acted as union minister under UPA Government. According to the hospital sources, the legendary director has been under ventilator and will undergo Chest surgery.

Dasari was not active neither in politics nor Movies. He recently participated in the protests against TDP Government over Kapu reservation issue.

He had directed many hit films, some of them are “Premabhishekam,” “Meghasandesham,” “Osey Ramulamma” and “Tata Manavadu” among others. Dasari holds the record of directing over 125 films and producing 50 other.

“Following infection in lungs and kidneys, director Dasari Narayana Rao has been admitted. He has been given ventilator support, and he is reacting to the treatment well. He will have to undergo dialysis and chest surgery,” Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, MD, and CEO of KIMS, said in a statement.

Recently Dasari was seen active at Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie pre-release event. At present he’s planning a movie with Pawan kalyan and also interested in Jayalalitha’s Bio Pic.
