Summer Internship Programme of The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Nagpur has finally completed, and placements took place for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP). Out of all the competing students, a student from 2016-2018 got an exclusive offer of Summer Internship with a stipend of Rs 1.6 lakh.

This internship is a two-month process, and between the two PGP courses held till now, this pay is the highest, and there is an apparent increase of 24% in the current batch average stipend.

According to the reports, the primary goal of this program is accomplished. The institute successfully maintained 100% placement. All the students got good offers with decent packages this year, and 40 recruiters took part in the process. Placement Cell In-charge, Vijay Phate proudly stated that this year, the average stipend offered took a notable leap.

Among all the companies came forward to hire, ICICI Lombard and IDBI Federal made the huge offers. The other companies who actively participated in recruitment are Yes Bank, ICICI Lombard, IDBI Federal, BPCL, Excellent and Diffusion Engineers, Choice India, Calderys, Delivering Change Foundation (Sakal Group). The students were mostly placed in metropolitan cities such as Delhi, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Pune.

Interestingly enough, the major part of the students picked to work in Sales and Marketing and only a few others went for Strategy, Consulting, Finance, Operation, Business Analytics, IT Consulting and IOT. On this note, Student Coordinator Aniket Hinge is elated to say that these firms taking in a new talent are the outcome of corporate fellowship.
