Here is good news for all the lovers out there in India. As Apple announced, the new iPhone 7 series is set to hit stores in the US on 16 September. Pre-orders for the device are gearing up in India through some Apple authorized resellers.
Iworld and Unicorn are the official resellers and have opened pre-bookings iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The stores are offering service in northern and western parts of India includes Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra (Mumbai and Pune). There is an option to reserve the device variant of user’s choice on the official website.
Customers need to register with name and other details and select the nearest franchise. Customer will be informed about the availability of phone, date of release so that user can pick it from the stores after release. One of the stores, Unicorn is charging about Rs. 5000 as an advance payment to confirm the order.
Consumer electronics retail giants like Tata’s Croma and Reliance Digital are lagging in pre-bookings for Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Jumbo, another prominent retail store for electronic devices, announced to starts pre-orders early next week. However, Apple is yet to announce the pre-booking for the devices iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus officially.
Beetel Teletech Ltd, one of the leading Apple distributor in the country, claimed to start iPhone 7 deliveries on 7 October 7 pm onwards. While Iworld and Unicorn mentioned that the sale would go from 12 am sharp on 7 October. Another noted distributor Rashi Peripherals has also declared its sale of the latest iPhones on the same day across its chain in the country.
Apple is launching the devices worldwide in three phases and India has got third, iPhones will go on for sale in 28 countries in the first phase, the Second phase begins on 23 September and serves the iPhone 7 series in more than 25 countries.
