Navjot Singh Sidhu quits BJP,likely to join AAP ?

Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned as Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and also quitted from the Bharatiya Janatha Party. While his wife and Amritsar MLA Navjot Kaur said that she’s still with BJP and hasn’t resigned.

Two-and-half months ago BJP lead NDA government had nominated the cricketer turned politician to the Upper House. Until now Sidhu had not spoken a single word about the incident. The resignation of 52-year-old Sidhu was accepted by Chairman Hamid Ansari with immediate effect.

Political War Between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump
The resignation of Singh in such a short span of time is quite unpredictable.
Earlier Sidhu refused to campaign for the party if they continued with the alliance as he had a bad relationship with BJP ally Shiromani Akali Dal.

Recently during an interview, she hinted that he would join AAP. She also said that Mr Sidhu’s resignation should be seen as his exit from the BJP, his party of 12 years. Navjot Kaur also added that she remains with the BJP and would represent the party in the state legislature.

The 52-year-old was a three-time Member of Parliament from Amritsar, Punjab and was not given the seat to contest since BJP had allotted the same for Cabinet minister Arun Jaitley, where he lost. From that point of time gap between Sidhu and BJP has widened.

The Lotus party had made a valiant effort by giving him the Rajya Sabha seat. The sudden exit of Navjot Singh Sidhu from BJP and rumours that he’s going to join AAP may be since Aam Aadmi Party was giving a tough competition to both ruling and the opposition in Punjab.
Some say that he was trying to move to AAP since they offered him the Chief Minister Candidature and the recent incidents strengthened the news. His wife during an interview also hinted the same by saying “He wants to serve Punjab, and there is no choice except serving from the Aam Aadmi Party.

Earlier Singh made many controversial statements about AAP. “I will never join politics; he created the Aam Aadmi Party. I will never take security cover. He took the Z security. I will not take a bungalow. He took a bungalow and started sweeping the floor himself.”
Anyway, Sidhu made an excuse by saying “In the war of right or wrong, you can’t afford to be neutral rather than being self-centered. Punjab’s interest is paramount.”

Everybody is keen on when Sidhu would respond on this issue and the how would be the political battle between Congress, AAP and BJP-SAD parties go further in the upcoming elections.
