OnePlus Releases Oxygen OS 3.2.0 For OnePlus 3 With Improved RAM Management

OnePlus has started rolling out the first operating system update for the OnePlus 3. The most awaited smartphone of the year OnePlus 3 was launched less than a month ago. The phone packs a powerful hardware and a whopping 6 GB RAM but still have many issues and needs improvement in the software. So, now the company is releasing Oxygen 3.2.0.

Let us just look back into the specifications of the OnePlus 3- the device features 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display which is powered by an Adreno 530 GPU and a Snapdragon 820 SoC. The device packs a 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM. And also features 8-megapixel front camera, 16-megapixel rear camera and a non-removable 3000 mAh battery. The device runs on company’s OxygenOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

 According to the company it has decided to release an update as a response from the users regarding software-related issues. A major update was released as the version 3.1.4 to the reviewers a couple of weeks ago. The update brings important changes for the firmware like a new sRGB mode and also fixes the memory management issues.

Now, the update is being releasing to users via OTA and the file approximately weighs 396 MB. The changes that the new version brings include improved RAM Management,  GPS performance, enhanced audio playback quality, Updated custom icon packs, issues in notifications, improved camera quality/ functionality, few issues in Gallery, latest Google security patches and finally fixes for bugs in Clock/ Music apps.

According to the forum members of the company forum, the changelog for the update also fixes the VR issue. The issue caused the smartphone’s magnetometer to spike and cause clicking in VR enabled apps like Cardboard app and YouTube rendering them unusable.
