After the overwhelming success of Tiago in the vehicle market, the Tata Motors launched its new hatchback namely Tata Tiago AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) in the country. The company made the availability of the hatchback in an only single variant, i.e., petrol version.

It was essentially the same automated manual unit that is seen on the already launched Zest and Nano models. The availability of Tata Tiago AMT has commenced across all the automaker’s 597 showrooms from today onwards. The company stated the Tata Tiago AMT Price starts from Rs. 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi).

The Tata Motors President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Mayank Pareek said, “In line with our commitment to launching products that cater to the need of the ever-evolving customer, we are happy to launch a Tiago AMT today. We are confident that it will further expand the market for us.”

Moving to the Tata Tiago AMT Features, the new hatchback equipped with four gear positions namely Automatic, Reverse, Neutral and Manual. It also comes with two driving modes such as Sports and City similar to the manual version. This version on the Tata Tiago AMT provides for shifting the gears faster.

It also equipped with an inbuilt creep feature which allows the vehicle to ease off the brake pedal without pressing the accelerator. The function mainly comes in handy on hill climbs when the vehicle starts from an inclined position. Mechanically, the Tata Tiago AMT unit paired with 1.2-litre three-cylinder revotron petrol motor that tuned to produce 84bhp at 6000rpm.

The peak power output of 114NM of torque at 3500rpm. Tata Motors announced that the users have no option to change the motor of Tata Tiago AMT unit. It gets sleek front end design with a blacked-out grille that has company badge on it. The company didn’t make the announcement regarding the launch time of diesel AMT variant.
