Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G unveiled with integrated BHIM App: Know specs and features
Indian mobile brand Karbonn Mobiles has launched a new smartphone on Tuesday. New Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G smartphone comes with UPI integration in the form of the preloaded BHIM app. The Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G price in India is Rs. 5,290, and sports entry-level specifications. Kavach 4G will be made available through offline retail channels in India.
The domestic brand has integrated the BHIM app’s access and securitisation mechanisms in Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G at a firmware level. The company also claimed that the preloaded BHIM app comes with an optimised for user experience and app performance on the K9 Kavach 4G smartphone. A fingerprint sensor is also included for payment authentication and further securities.

On OS level, Karbonn K9 Kavach touts e-KYC and Aadhaar authentication, perform person-to-person transactions Digi locker and e-Gov service access, bill payments and utility services as well as contextual payments within messenger apps.
Karbonn K9 Kavach features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat. On camera font, K9 Kavach 4G flaunts a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G smartphone comes with 8GB storage inbuilt and can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, FM radio, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A 2300mAh battery backs the device.
