Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have finally found a solution that helps pedestrians who struggle to cross the busy roads. They have urged the general public to use the 24 Hyderabad Metro Rail Stations as FOBs. Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy said that they can use the first floor of the HMR stations as foot over-bridge to cross over to the other side of the road.

Pedestrian’s are facing problem while crossing the roads because as a part of metro rail project medians have been built between the Metro Rail Pillars. There is no gap for the general public while crossing the road. To avoid this problem Mr. Reddy said, “We want people to know that they can use the escalators and the unpaid area to cross the roads. They will not be charged.”

The lifts, escalators, and staircases are considered as the unpaid area, pedestrians can use these facilities and no one will stop them. Around 2 lakh passengers boarded the metro rail on Saturday and Sunday due to holiday rush. Most of the people are boarding the metro for joy rides on the first day. Mr. Reddy said that passenger movement at stations was becoming more organized due to improving discipline among passengers.

From last few days Hyderabad metro rail has been in social media for the wrong reasons. A picture of pillar having cracks on it is circulated stating it as the pillar of Hyd Metro. But authorities have cleared that the news is completely baseless and fake.
