HP launches its new, versatile all-in-one Point of Sale (POS) terminal which is powered by Windows 10. The new POS is named ElitePOS. The ElitePOS is designed for the retail purpose but with enterprise-grade security. ElitePOS gives the modern touch to the traditional POS to transform the in-store experience of the customers.

A POS system is an integration of software and hardware that allows retailers to carry daily transactions of business operations. ElitePOS is designed in such a way that it is easily adaptable in any retail and hospitality environment with a sleek and stunning design. The ElitePOS comes with adaptable configurations.

The new ElitePOS comes with an optical barcode scanner which can read and outputs printed bar codes. The receipt printer that combines in to the column stand and magnet stripe reader that built in to the display providing the retailers clean counter space.

The ElitePOS is built to hold-off extensive usage with an added life cycle that retailers depend on. The system provides efficient cooling with side venting for improving reliability. The interactive signage gives you touch screen display interface allowing self-service for the customers.

As security is the main concern in the retail industry, ElitePOS is available with Self-healing BIOS-level protection. BIOS-level device security protects in the event of Malware attack.

The new POS enables with finger print technology which prevents unauthorized access, Credential Guard with user authentication and password protection. Device Guard helps IT managers to run on approved and trusted application to avoid virus attack through USB ports. The other features which include durability, robust and peak performance under the heavy workload. Additionally, it runs on 7th generation Intel Core processors with optional vPro technology.

The ElitePOS will be available in August 2017 direct from HP and the company’s global network of more than 250,000 partners.
