Bollywood witnessed the big and grand celebrity wedding of Sonam Kapoor and her longtime boyfriend Anand Ahuja. The wedding had a huge gathering of stars on Tuesday, but few stars could not make it to the venue. Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and few other celebs missed the whole marriage celebration. But, they did convey their warm wishes to the newly-wed on Twitter.
The grand wedding was kicked off by a mehendi function, which was held on Sunday followed by an impressive Sangeet celebration on Monday. Finally, the wedding ceremony was on Tuesday afternoon. The reception saw the huge attendance of several top celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, his daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan.
Priyanka Chopra congratulated Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor on their big day. She was sad for not being able to attend the event, but gave her warm wishes to both. On the other hand, Shekar Kapoor gave his warm wishes and showered blessings for the couple. He mentioned about the hardworking nature of Anil Kapoor. He also added that everyone in the film industry loves Sonam Kapoor and it was very nice to see that the entire movie industry had gathered for Sonam’s wedding. Ritesh Deshmukh, his wife Genelia and other big celebrities of Bollywood have congratulated the couple on Twitter.
