Samsung Launches Smart Convertible Refrigerators and Air Conditioners

Samsung India expanded its consumer electronics portfolio by launched its new Smart Convertible Refrigerators and Air Conditioners. The company claims that the new direct cool and smart convertible frost-free refrigerators run on solar power.

The newly launched Air Conditioners come with digital inverter technology which cools 43 percent faster than others. Both the new refrigerators and air conditioners equipped with advanced cooling technology for power consumption, durability, design and enable the fastest cooling.

Interesting and key feature in the new Samsung Smart Convertible Refrigerators is power compatibility which goes a long way in energy conservation. These are specially designed to promote solar power implemented by the Indian government.

The new S-Inverter Air Conditioners introduced with an affordable luxury segment, durability and design with new technology. It was engineered to consume less power and produce more cooling comfort. The S-Inverter Air Conditioner equipped with world’s first 8-pole motor, ensure faster cooling up to 43 percent. With its advanced technology, it consumes less energy compared to other conventional ACs.

It comes with DuraFin condenser which is corrosion resistant for increased durability. For the extremely hot outdoor temperatures up to 52°C, the Air Conditioners equipped with a larger condenser and the optimised refrigerant flow. The Voltage Protector can handle the voltage fluctuations from 146v to 290v.

Moving to Smart Convertible Refrigerators, these are the first of its kind in a frost-free category which runs on solar power and home inverters. The new Samsung Solar-powered Refrigerators gives convenience cooling and freshness to the food even during power cuts.

Smart Convertible Refrigerators range also features Power Freeze Mode and Power Cooling Mode. Its twin cooling system avoids mixing of odours in each compartment.  The vegetables and fruits that are stored will get optimal humidity level by releasing moisture evenly.

With its low noise level and smart direct cool can withstand upto 100volts to 300volts of voltage fluctuations. The new Smart Convertible Refrigerators are available in two floral patterns, Magnolia and Rose Mallow along with Tender Lily and Star Flower shades.

The Direct Cool Refrigerators have advanced direct inverter technology which runs on solar power and home inverter for an uninterrupted cooling system. It offers nine hours of cooling even during power cuts. It automatically adjusts its cooling temperature and is equipped with seven compressor RPM to improve cooling and freshness of food.

It can also withstand voltage fluctuations from 100v to 300v with smart technology. These refrigerators are available in three handle designs such as Island, Bar Chrome and Bar.

Samsung’s High-End Family Hub is a $6000 Smart Refrigerator

The giant South Korean manufacturer on Wednesday showcased the Family Hub refrigerator at its showroom in New York. The smart fridge is now on sale in all its stores across the country. The retail price of the model starts at $5,600 and $6000 for over-the-top black stainless steel model. Yes, it is the most expensive fridge which is right now not available outside the US.

The other cool option featured in the all new Samsung smart fridge is, when the cameras associate with the “Food Reminders” app, you can drag and drop expiration date reminders on different food items in the fridge.

Samsung family hub

Well, this is not the first smart fridge with a camera. In 2014 LG has showcased such fridge but it has no access to many apps like this model have. But isn’t too high to be spent on a refrigerator? One can find a cheaper smart fridge like Whirpool’s smart French Door Fridge prices $3,800 which offers most of the internet connected features. So, lets wait and see whether this is going to be the fridge of the future or just too far fridge.
