UK-based British Telecom is going to recruit more cyber security professionals this year across the globe. In this Digital world, it is a highly tough job for the business home and government sectors to secure their data.

The top Telecom Company British Telecom has released a notice about the recruitment. BT is going to hire 900 people to work in its security business in the next 12 months. Initially, they are going to take 170 graduates and apprentices, provide them training. These 170 candidates come under the intake of 900 cyber security professionals  this year. They have to work for the cyber security and related support services.

With the annual digital revenues going at double rate, BT already employed more than 2500 security professionals and possesses security operations centers across the world. They look after the entire range of consumer, business, and governmental security needs which help them to stay away from cyber-attacks.

For various multinational companies, India is a hotbed when it comes to recruiting cyber security professionals.

The shortlisted Graduates and apprentices will get the training in BT’s Security Academy. The given areas will be covered under this training program physical security, risk management, security operations, penetration testing, threat intelligence, and sales.

 Apart from this, BT also hires from the top most universities, to identify the best talent. They conduct the various competitions like Cyber Security Challenge UK, The International Cambridge 2 Cambridge Cyber Security Challenge and the hackathon-style “war game.” Through these competitions, participants can directly compete with the opponents in the cyber-attacks and bright, skilled candidates in the cyber security skills can be noticed.

Most of the BT’s security operations centers located in different parts of the United Kingdom, London, Sevenoaks, and Cardiff. So they were looking to hire security specialists across Continental Europe, the Americas, the Middle-East and Asia-Pacific. BT is holding an apprentice open afternoon program at a central London for helping the young people to know more about the apprenticeships in Cyber Security and also the potential recruits can find more about the scheme.

Mark Hughes, President of BT Security had said that number of high-profile security and data breaches have increased in the recent time. And this leads to sudden and powerful forward movement in showing the interest for both the consumers and IT departments.
