It is an International Labour organization which launched in 2002. WDACL is celebrated every year in the month of June.

World Day Against Child Labour 2017 date is June 12. It is intended to foster the worldwide movement against child labour in any of its firm. Every year this event is celebrated with a unique theme; World Day Against Child Labour 2017 Theme is “In conflicts and disasters, protect children from child labour”. If the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Target 8.7 – which aims to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour – is to be achieved by 2030,” stated the International Labour Organisation ahead of WDACL-2017.

According to the ILO’s data, millions of girls and boys throughout the world involved in heavy labour which results in loss of adequate education, health, leisure and basic freedom. Half of the children are forced to worst form of child labour, those includes, work in hazardous environments, slavery or other form of forced labour. Some children are exposed to drug trafficking and prostitution, as well as involvement in armed conflict.
