Netflix, one of the famous online entertainment platforms announced its merger with the Scotland comic book firm, Millarworld. This marks the first-ever acquisitions made by Netflix company. The collaboration of the two companies will bring Millarworld comic characters into life through series, kid shows and movies which are only available for Netflix members.
Mark Millar, who runs Millarworld said, “In love with what Netflix is doing and excited by their plans. Netflix is the future and Millarworld couldn’t have a better home,”

Mark Millar is the publisher behind the characters and stories like Kingsman and Old Man Logan. He is a former employee at Marvel Studios who worked for 8 years. Mark Millar in a statement said,” To say this is the best thing ever happened in our professional career would be an understatement.” Movies like Civil War, Logan and Captain American are inspired from the comic books developed by Miller which grossed $3 billion collectively.
Netflix is a family of over 104 million subscribers; most of the subscriber growth came from the outside of the US establishing itself as leading on-demand television service. It offers more than 125 movies per day along with TV shows, Documentaries, Original series and feature films.
On company’s first acquisition, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said that “We are looking forward to creating new Netflix Originals from several existing franchises as well as new super heroes, fantasy, sci-fi and horror stories Mark (Millar) and his team will continue to create and publish.” Netflix agrees to buy Millarworld for an undisclosed amount, the company said in a statement.
