After the launch of the AMG GT Roadster at the Paris Motor Show, Mercedes has come up with Maybach S650 Cabriolet in LA Auto Show. Aiming the wealthiest auto buyers on the globe, the company has made only 300 units of the car available.
Mercedes-Maybach S650 is based upon the open-top S-Class and adopted the latter’s classic aesthetic proportions. Other features and highlights include the dynamic shape with coupé-like soft top and the sidewall dropping line which inclines down towards the rear.
The high-end arrangements in the interior makeup are part of the vehicle’s unique characteristics. The drive system requirements are accommodated by the 6.0-litre V12 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 PS).

Mercedes-Maybach packs some exclusive features which include a new upgraded lower section front bumper. And the numerous chrome highlights visibly enhances the special aspirations of luxury. The Maybach emblem is featured so elegantly on the vehicle’s wing. The high-quality 20-inch Maybach forged wheels in a dominant design and a bichromatic finish add other unique elements on the exterior profile. “Mercedes-AMG is our performance brand so it’s all about performance stuff. Of course, Maybach has power, too, but it’s the ultimate in luxury. So it’s more on that side. The S-Class is the best car in the world, we consider, I always thought we could raise the Mercedes brand. And it’s the same with the S convertible,” says, Wagener.
On the interior, Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet gets some of the futuristic ideas from Concept S-Class. These include dynamic “flowing lines” in the seats; this waterfall-like seat upholstery layout is achieved with the aid of progressive perforation.

The luxury cabriolet’s superior drive system is powered by the 6.0-litre Biturbo V12 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 PS). Power transmission to the rear axle comes from 7G-TRONIC. The AIRMATIC suspension with stemless variable damping control provides a special driving sensation.
The first cabriolet from the Mercedes-Maybach brand is all set to hit markets in the spring of 2017 with a net price tag of 300,000 euros.
