General Motors Company of China has unveiled the Buick Velite plug-in hybrid concept at Guangzhou auto show with flowing lines, and the technology has potentially same as embedded in the Chevy Volt.
The creation, led by GM’s Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, supposedly said that “drew inspiration from water and traditional Chinese culture to create a vehicle that is efficient, intelligent and green.”
The new model serves as a template for future energy vehicles under the brand name ‘Buick Blue’. The development of this concept was led by Pan Asia Technical Automotive Centre (PATAC), GM Engineering joint venture with the SAIC.

The Buick Blue model features with an innovative crossover body which combines the sporty design and practical space. With flowing lines, rippling and sculpted curves reflect the Buick’s all new design. This automobile has wing-shaped front grille which matches with intelligent matrix LED lights.
As of like previous Buick models, the Velite plug-in hybrid concept has an elegant interior. Its integrated design includes recycled materials, panoramic sunroof and induction ambient lighting which points to the design trends for upcoming energy vehicles.
The Buick Velite plug-in hybrid concept is characterized by high-performance plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain with GM’s new-generation modular intelligent electric drive system. It incorporates with a high-performance modular lithium-ion battery pack.
It is embedded with intelligent controls which help in maximize the performance and fuel saving techniques under different driving conditions. The Velite Concept serves as the mobile network. Users can enjoy an interactive human-machine experience with their intelligent devices.

Along with this, it has an application of the innovative technologies like cloud-based connection and storage, customized service and the remote operation. Based on the various platforms like PHEV, HEV, EREV (extended-range electric vehicle) gives intelligent solutions for green mobility.
The China-based automobile company, Buick also showcased the recently launched new-generation GL8 Avenir and Buick GL8 at Auto Guangzhou 2016. The new version of Buick boosts all-electric range by 40 percent to 53 miles and increasing its power output by 20 percent.
