BMW X3 third-generation 2018: BMW has revealed the latest third-gen X3 ahead of the model’s international launch next week. The much anticipated SUV has created much hype with the series of leaked images. Now, BMW X3 was unveiled at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. The current generation BMW X3 was built back in 2010, and the latest carry the same design language. BMW X3 has been the much preferred choice in India for who wanted a luxury SUV in Rs 50 lakh. Even the price of BMW X3 third-gen would fall around Rs.50-60 lakhs.

The vehicle gets few design changes on the exterior font. To start with, the headlamps and the grille got separated from each other. The grille and bumpers get bigger than the older version and comes with a set of LED hexagonal fog lamps.

BMW X3 features fog lamps and full LED headlamps along with a set of full LED 3D tail lamps. The luxury SUV gets a bigger wheel size – 18-inches standard for wheel size. The top spec model comes with a set of 21-inch wheels.

As a part of interior changes, the car gets a new cabin with all new design. The infotainment system comes with connectivity options like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, there are many other changes in the areas like boot space, lighting options.

New BMW X3 will be rolled out in two standard petrol and diesel engines and an M-spec petrol engine. The BMW X3 xDrive30i makes 248 bhp while the X3 xDrive20i makes 181 bhp.

Both the variants are available with a 4 wheel drive system, and a rear wheel drive model is on its way. The diesel engines based up on BMW X3 xDrive20d that makes 188 bhp and the BMW X3 xDrive30d makes 262 bhp. All the engine variants are paired with BMW’s 8-speed ‘Steptronic’ transmission.

We can expect BMW X3 in India in the mid of 2018, and the luxury SUV will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC and the upcoming Audi Q5. It is believed that it will also go against the upcoming Volvo XC60, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Range Rover Evoque.
