Audi announced the launch of 2017 RS7 Performance in India, one of the practical performance cars from the manufacturer. The more powerful version of four-door coupe sports car is priced at ₹ 1,59,65,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. RS7 Performance offers you heading to a race track in practical with the wilder engine.
Audi RS Performance drives power from the same 4.0-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine, and the 44bhp power gets uprated to 596bhp which is available between 6100 and 6800rpm. The maximum rpm also has got amplified by 200 revs, while torque output stands at an enormous 700Nm available between 1750 and 6000rpm.
An 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission is paired with the engine which drives powers to all four wheels via the Quattro drive system. The performance of RS7 is lighter by 15% over the standard version with the comparable steel body and 20 % of aluminum used for its built. With the new improved power-to-weight ratio, RS7 Performance is more capable of dashing from 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds which is 0.2 seconds faster than the standard version. The top speed is electronically limited to 280 km/h, which in real time can be exceeded up to 305 km/h with the dynamic package plus.
Audi claims the new 2017 RS7 Performance is more fuel efficient with the particular engine management system that works in tandem with Audi’s on demand (COD) system. The RS7 Performance is also available with an optional sport differential on the rear axle with active torque distribution between the outside and inside wheel.
Audi RS7 Performance got the distinctive coupe shape bumpers which look with bolder with larger air intakes, gloss black honeycomb grille, and additional add-on parts finished in matte titanium. The grille features the Quattro logo and the car also gets Audi Matrix LED headlamps as standard.
The manufacturer is offering a couple of style packages Matte aluminum and Carbon to for enhance customization. The vehicle drives on 7 twin spoke designed 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, and you also get an option for upgrading it to 21-inch wheels. Braking performance relies on 390mm front discs paired with six piston calipers.
