Instagram Ready to Lure Students with Its Latest Feature

Well, it’s just been four days since Tinder officially announced its Tinder U app for students. Now, Instagram is in the headlines as it has come up with some updated features for students. It looks like the social media platform is now more focused on young generation.

Instagram is owned by Facebook and just like the way Facebook gets regular updates, it seems that now the makers are interested in their Instagram app as well.

Talking about its latest feature, it allows students to participate in a virtual community where they will be allowed a face-face interaction with the communities they follow. Along with it, they can send direct messages for more convenient communication. Users will be allowed to ignore people they don’t like or even block them.

Talking about Tinder’s latest update, it has motivated other social media platforms to move forward and allow its users to experience the world with the power of communities. However, we all know that Tinder, which is considered to be a hookup app, has launched Tinder U only for the students with the benefits of making new friends and expanding their friend list.

Going back to the history of both the apps, we found out that both Tinder and Facebook started their journey with the campus as its platform and now, it seems like they are going back to their roots.

Brian Norgard from Tinder said, “Today, more than half of our users are between the age of 18 and 24, with Tinder U, we’re excited to honor our roots with a new experience that helps students meet other students nearby.”

While Tinder looks more focused on students with Tinder U, Instagram is not behind. The app has attracted many students from the day of its launch, giving its users features like updating their Instagram Story, some amazing stickers and not to forget its filters.

Though Instagram is owned by Facebook, its increasing popularity has led to a decrease in users of Facebook. The new feature is successfully attracting users towards it. But, the topic of concern remains the same. Will Instagram be able to protect the privacy of users with its latest feature? Stay tuned to find out.
