The day one battle at box office proved Akshay starer Rustom beat Hrithik’s Mohenjo Daro with 5Cr margins. The Same trend has been observed terms of overseas box office collection as well. Mohenjo Daro got about 550 screens for overseas release.

Akshay Kumar and Ileana D Cruz starred Rustom opened at 15 Cr getting a thumbs up from the viewers against the Ashutosh Gowariker directed epic Mohenjo Daro which earned Rs 10 Cr at collection point on day one.

Both these movies hit box office on 12th August Friday weighing equally with strengths and weaknesses.

Akshay has been delivering box office hits over a period, and his success graph has been quite consistent. On the other hand, handsome and youngsters favourite Hrithik Roshan has been waiting for a crucial come back after Bang Bang.

When talked about directors of the two movies Mohenjo Daro’s Ashutosh Gowariker well known for his excellence in films like Jodha Akber and Lagaan had high expectations from the movie world. The counterpart Rustom’s Tinu Suresh Desai was less popular to Gowarikar.

According to the reviews, Rustom tears the ribbon to get the winning edge. After the two days of release, the experts guess that with Independence Day and Sunday holidays coming up, Rustom can make a collection of 40-45 Cr. And the other still running up movie Mohenjo Daro box office collections depends on word of mouth and reviews.

Though the movie plots have their space to prove themselves, the reviews of Rustom say that it is an intriguing film inspired by a real-life murder case.

Hrithik Roshan and Puja hedge starred movie had poor ratings and reviews from the movie goers. Considered to be one of the expensive movies of Bollywood, the cinema did not collect audience as expected till now. Historical epic dating back to Indus valley civilisation, Mohenjo Daro, has received mixed reviews from the critics. The hard work, the director, kept in making in the film has missed with minor flaws in the movie.
