Hyundai i30 Fastback: South Korean carmaker Hyundai has come up with the successor of its i20. All-new Hyundai i30 Fastback was launched after the Hyundai i30 hatchback besides the i30 N hot hatch and the i30 Tourer estate/station wagon. This new i30 fastback is specially designed for the European market and will be available across the continent by early 2018.
New i30 Fastback is designed with Hyundai’s latest philosophy and touts both sophistication and style. The front three-quarters of the i30 hatchback are identical to the earlier i30 hatchback. The front grille came with company’s signature and designed with chrome surrounds.
The grille height is shortened for a wider posture with a pair of sharp headlamps on either side. The three-pot projector lights and LED daytime running lamps along with another strip of LED DRLs are assigned for lighting duties. Some sharp character lines on the bonnet and front bumper add more character to it.

The bold character lines and sloping roof-line on the Hyundai i30 Fastback adds a coupe-like effect to the car. The large sporty alloy wheels and stylish ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights add more beauty. The muscular rear bumper along with its arching boot line wraparound LED tail lamps gives an impressive back view.

The inside cabin of the latest Hyundai i30 is no less than any upmarket car, and the all-black treatment says it all. The driver oriented controls look smart, and the large touch screen infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The large and stylish AC vents and the instrument cluster are very productive. Other driver assist features include driver attention alert, rear-cross traffic alert, autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, high beam assist and speed limit information function.
The i30 Fastback motor consists of two downsized turbocharged petrol engines - 1.4 T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder engines with 138 bhp or the 1.0 T-GDI turbocharged three-cylinder engine which makes 118 bhp. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.

As of now, Hyundai has no plans to launch the i30 Fastback in India considering its features and price tag. With its features on board, the car demands a premium price tag which may not work in India. However, Hyundai is all set to launch new-gen Verna next month which positions its place in sedan segment in India.
