Lenovo Launches K6, K6 power, and K6 Note

Lenovo has unleashed its K6, K6 power and K6 Note smartphones at the IFA 2016 tradeshow in Germany. These smartphones are expected to rollout from later this month.  All three devices flaunt a metal unibody design and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Lenovo K6, K6 power, and K6 Note are equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back and available in Dual SIM variants. All the three devices are powered by the same 430 octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU for better graphics. The smartphones sport a front camera of 8 MP in common for selfies.

Lenovo K6 features a screen of 5-inch Full HD with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The handset offers 16GB/32GB internal storage with 2GB of RAM. A rear camera of 13 MP is provided for better imaging duties. The mobile includes a broad range of connectivity options which includes LTE, 3G, 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. The phone is equipped with a 3000 mAh battery which ensures a decent standby.

Lenovo K6 power comes with a 5-inch display screen with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and a rear camera of 13MP. The smartphone is configured with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage. Storage for the device can be expandable by installing a microSD card in the slot provided. The headset is backed by a 4000mAh battery and packs a punch of good audio experience with the Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, LTE, 3G, 4G, GPS, and Bluetooth.

Lenovo K6 Note sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. It boasts a 16MP primary camera along with dual LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter which is common in the series. The gadget is equipped with 3GB/4GB RAM paired with 32GB storage which is expandable with a microSD card. Powered by 4000mAh battery, the phone offers GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, LTE. Dolby Atmos provided enhances the audio experience of the users.

Sony Reveals Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact Smartphones in IFA 2016

Sony has officially launched its flagship models Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact at the IFA 2016. Tokyo-based giant unveiled devices possess similar looks with the dual speaker facing in the front. New Xperia XZ is crafted with ALKALEIDO, a trademarked Aluminum material. This new smartphone from Sony will be a successor to Xperia X which made its launch at MWC event earlier this year. Both the Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are said to be dust and water resistant

Coming to the features, Sony Xperia XZ features a screen size of 5.2-inch with IPS display and Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution with Gorilla Glass protection on top. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Sony Xperia XZ ships with an internal memory of 32GB which is expandable up to 200GB. The smartphone also comes with a Dual SIM variant for a better network connectivity and an internal memory of 64GB is provided in this variant.

On the other hand, Sony is offering Xperia X Compact with a smaller display of 4.6-inch HD (1280 X 720) IPS display. Xperia X Compact is powered by a Snapdragon 650 hexacore SoC processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage like its sibling Xperia XZ.

Both Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact packs a new 23MP IMX300 sensor and includes, color detection, Triple Sensing Autofocus that come with PDAF and laser autofocus. A steady shot intelligence Active Mode using the 5-axis is enabled, and OIS is found missing. Xperia X compact sports only 5MP front camera while Xperia XZ is provided with a 13 MP selfie shooter. The steady shot mode can correct the angle and roll, and shift shakes with the rear camera. Seems, Sony is also providing manual controls in the camera app.

Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X compact measures thicknesses of 8.1mm and 9.5mm respectively where Xperia XZ weighs a 161grams, and Xperia X Compact weighs 135 grams. The prices for these handsets were tagged at €699 for Xperia XZ and X Compact is priced at €449.

Huawei Announced Two New Smartphones Nova and Nova Plus at IFA 2016

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei announced two new smartphones in the IFA 2016 conference held in Germany. Targeting the mid-range users, the company has released the new Huawei Nova and Nova Plus smartphones. The phones don’t have any notable stand out features. Both the handsets have been crafted in aluminum and offer a wide range of colors.

Both the handsets Nova and Nova Plus are powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM. Both the devices provided with a 32GB internal storage and are expandable via microSD up to 128GB. The phones supported dual-SIMs (Nano and Micro) and sported with a fingerprint reader and revised USB type-C port.

On camera font, A 12 MP primary camera and 8 MP front camera is provided for Huawei Nova. And for Nova Plus, front camera packs a 16Megapixels with optical image stabilization and rear camera sports a six-piece aspherical lens

It is observed that some similarities between Huawei Nova and latest Moto G4. In some cases, Nova looks more premium and so is the price. The device may roll out its commercial launch in October pricing about $445 for Nova and $480 for Nova Plus. The company is planning to launch these mobiles in 50 other territories along with China which includes Germany, France, Canada, and Spain.

Acer revealed many PC’s, laptops, minicomputers, monitors, and pet accessories at IFA 2016 event in Germany. The new releases include its Swift and Spin series comprises of many ultra-thin laptops. The company also released its first ever Predator laptop with a curved display and a tiny Core i7 powered desktop.  The new beast Predator 21 X gaming laptop, which would be the first of its kind to sport a curved screen. The Swift 7 laptop noted to be the thinnest in the world which can be measured lesser than a centimeter.

Several TVs already have the feature of curved displays, but it is proved that the feature is at odds as it has the either way of disadvantages and benefits over the flat-panel technology. Acer believed the transformation should deeply engage in working to play video games on the machine. The company also announced its acquisition of a pet technology start-up at the IFA 2016 event.

HP rolls out a new backpack to powerup laptops

Several other electronics giants including Lenovo, Samsung, DJI, Huawei and Sony are set to announce their new releases in the IFA technology show in Berlin. The predator laptop’s screen is larger than the norm which measures about 21 inches (53.3cm) claiming the world’s first.

“The curvature of the display matches the natural curve of the eyes and gives a wider field of view, This allows people to in-game pick-up details, like spotting enemies or looking in the rear view mirror in racing games, more easily to give a better, more immersive gaming experience.” Says, Acer Europe’s John Miedema.

These curved screens technology first appeared in TVs about three years ago and is being used in cinemas. Other consumer electronics manufacturers have experimented and left the idea of the curvy look. In particular, Samsung has been an active promoter of the technology with two high-end televisions in a curved design.

“Curved screens are great if you are in exactly the right position and equidistant from the various points of the display, but as soon as you are not in the ideal place you get distortions of the image and glare,” said David Mercer, from the consultants Strategy Analytics.

This might be a bit problematic with TV sets when more than one person watches at a time. But it creates a high impact and enhances the experience for a single user on a laptop.

HTC has reportedly revealed a new successor to the HTC One A9 on September 1st, at IFA 2016 at Berlin, Germany. As you know that the new phone always sounds exciting, and now this new HTC smartphone gives few clues from the certain competitor which is something the elder One A9 has done too.

This new phone is supposed to looking and noticeable similarly to the iPhone 6S, but it is called to be as HTC One A9s. Here it resembles the Apple Phones by adding the ‘S’ to the mid-range smartphones says the trusted leaker Evan Blass who is the reporter at the Venture Beats.

Apart from this, the leaked image of the HTC One A9s shows the Chassis virtually identical to the original One A9 which saved the more like iPhone like the placement of the camera and the sensors on the front and rear of the smartphone.

This might arrive in the two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB of the internal storage and another one with 3GB RAM with 32GB of the onboard storage.

One more interesting thing to be noticed is that the image shows the lock screen dated on October 14, so we can expect the arrival of the fall release. With only a few days before the IFA and the users have the great hopes that HTC will offer the details in the prior time for the big show. Also, note that we hope that Apple won’t rush to the convention hall with the notices.
