Vodafone India has come up with another move in the price war with Reliance Jio. The telecom network has unveiled another new plan offering unlimited voice calling and data. This new Vodafone Welcome offer is applicable for selected prepaid users.
Discussing further the Vodafone RC 249, the plan offers unlimited voice calling and 2G data for 28 days. Existing Vodafone customers can check eligibility for the plan by just dialing *121#. This new Vodafone RC 249 provides unlimited local and STD calls to any network within the circle. However, users have to pay for roaming calls.

Vodafone has announced that the user who recharges with this plan gets benefits for additional 28 days after the expiry. For instance, an existing Vodafone user subscribes to this 249 Plan and gets benefits for 28 days. Then after, the plan gets auto-renewed for another 28 days with same benefits. However, this is a limited period offer, and Vodafone hasn’t mentioned any specific date of expiry for the plan.
On the other hand, Vodafone is also fighting with Reliance Jio which recently launched the JioPrime membership. Recently, Vodafone India has announced Vodafone reportedly came out with two new plans of Rs 346 and Rs 342. And these plans were launched after Reliance unveiling JioPrime membership plan which indirectly hints the price war.
The newly launched Rs 342 plan offers unlimited national calling and 1GB of data per day for 28 days. Besides this Vodafone Welcome offer for prepaid users, the company is also planning to revamp Vodafone RED postpaid plans. In addition to this, Bharti Airtel has also revised their myPlan postpaid plans with better data offers. It seems this moves from other players in the industry would be a stop by for customers towards Reliance Jio.
