Indian Star boxer Vijender Singh has always been in the news for his knockout punches and wins. But this time his comments against his next opponent Zulpikar Maimaitiali has made him to the headlines. He referred his next opponent and china’s  Zulpikar as Chinese product and quoted “Chinese products won’t long last longer”.

The comment did not go well with the top Chinese Boxer and he reacted saying that “I will show Vijender what Chinese are capable of, we have shown India time, and again what China is capable of, it’s time that Vijender too learns his lesson” Zulpikar said when asked. Zulpikar also added, I will be coming to your (Vijender) home and will take back the title of yours along mine and knock you off in early rounds.

Vijender Singh who is Indian Professional Boxer is the current WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion. He is known as Indian Knocking King, who is on the continuous winning spree in his past bouts. Vijender Singh arrived in Mumbai for his double title fight against WBO Oriental Super Middleweight Champion Zulpikar Maimaitiali. The bout is named as the Battleground Asia.

Battle ground Asia will witness a double title fight between Vijender and Chinas No one boxer Zulpikar Maimaitiali on August 5th in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel indoor stadium, Mumbai Ahead of his bout, Vijender is calm and don’t want to rush into things. He also said,“Zulpikar is young and can make a mistake, he is a rush and want to take over everything in the first round.

To a question, Vijender said it won’t be his toughest fight yet. “I don’t think there is any challenge. If he is going to be aggressive, I will react accordingly,” the Indian boxer said. My trainer Lee Beard told me to stay calm and don’t be in a hurry because during the bout everyone in the stands will be backing you. So don’t get carried away,”

Vijender Singh, 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medallist, is unbeatable since his first bout in Professional Boxing. He has fought eight bouts until now. On the total of 8 matches fought by Vijender, 7 of them are won by Knock-out. In July 16th 2016, Vijender secured his first title WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion after defeating Kerry Hope of Australia.

His 8th win was against the Francis Cheka of Tanzania; he defends the title WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion. Vijender has not competed in any match after defending his title in December last year. He has 30 rounds under his belt, which gives him a slight edge over his opponent Zulpikar, who has fought 24 rounds till now.
