The Ghazi Attack Movie Review :

The Ghazi Attack Movie Story Plot

The story is all about the mysterious sinking of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi during the 1971 war and the film portrait it as an INS Rajput (renamed as S-21 here) vs PNS Ghazi submarine battle just before the Indo-Pak war you don’t know about.

The Movie revolves around Capt Ranvijay Singh (Kay Kay Menon), second-in-command Devaraj (Atul Kulkarni) and Officer Arjun (Rana Daggubati). Two Bangladeshi refugees (including Taapsee Pannu) are plucked from the sea by Arjun.

While PNS Ghazi is making its way to the Bay of Bengal, the Navy gets a clue about Pakistan’s design and send S-21 submarine just to keep a watch. Ghazi targets INS Vikrant (India’s aircraft carrier) in order to reach East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) by sea.

The Film is all about how the entire team of S-21 stayed underwater and how they manage to fight the deadly Ghazi.

The Ghazi Attack Movie Performances:

The Casting of the Film is said to be one of the highlights. Everyone had done justice to their roles. Some of best in the Indian Cinema Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Nasser and Kay Kay menon had nailed their performance. Especially Kay Kay, who plays a shrewd naval chief in the movie impressed the audience with his own style of acting.

Rana acting in his third war film in the recent times had given his best performance. His dialogue delivery and action during the pre-climax says that why he has chosen for this role.

Positives:
  • Cast
  • Exceptional Visuals
  • Story, Screenplay
  • CG Work
  • Background Music
Negatives:
  • Slow Narration
  • Dubbing
Verdict:

The film may not be compared to some Hollywood war classics, but it has excellent special effects and done its best within budget. The film put a lot of efforts in making a submarine, running of a ship and even firing of torpedoes and laying of landmines at sea.

It may not collect huge collections and turn out to be a commercial film but will certainly impress the movie lovers by taking them back to the 1970’s. The movie packs good visuals and excellent Submarine set designed by the Artists.

Ghazi Movie Rating : 3.5/5
