With almost all social media apps updating their platform, now it’s time for YouTube, which has come up with its latest feature “Time Watched”. This feature allows the users to keep track of the amount of time they have spent on YouTube, watching videos or subscribed channels.
The new feature was announced by Google in order to expand its online health and wellness aim to the app, which will help users to keep track and help them prevent watching too many bad videos or to keep track of their usage routine.
A post related to the latest feature from YouTube stated, “Our goal is to provide a better understanding of time spent on YouTube, so you can make informed decisions about how you want YouTube to best fit into your life.”
From the makers, we have heard that your daily entertainment channel will now have more updates and some amazing features. As per the reports, YouTube witnessed an increased number of users in recent years.
Talking about its latest feature, you will be able to access the feature by logging into your YouTube account. The account menu will have your updated profile along with the option of Time Watched, which will help you track the amount of time you have spent on the app.
Moreover, you need not worry about providing any extra information or accessibility. YouTube provides the statistics based on your watch history, downloads and recently watched videos. But, if you have cleared your watch history or disabled the option for privacy, then you won’t be able to get the accurate statistics. To avail the correct statistics from the feature, you need to enable the ‘history’ option.
The new user profile comes in addition with other included features to help users understand the power of technology and make the right use of it. What more you can see is the disappearance of notification sound from your subscription list or channels that you like watching. Well, if you have updated your YouTube, then it’s time that you experience a notification without disturbing you at midnight. You can also enable/disable the notification sound by visiting the settings.
Joining hands with other companies like Google, Facebook, and Instagram, YouTube is now more focused on providing clarity for their customers.
