Xiaomi has its extending its product portfolio even further with the launch of Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera. This new camera from Xiaomi has IP67 water and dust resistance rating. As the name suggest, Xiaomi Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera is capable of capturing 360-degree images and videos. Xiaomi has priced the camera at 1699 CNY (Rs. 16000 approximately) in China.
Xiaomi Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera features 23.88-megapixel sensor which can capture 3.5K resolution videos as detailed in a post on MIUI Forum. The square-shaped camera sports f/2.0 aperture, a fisheye lens on both sides which allows capturing 360-degrees. This new Xiaomi camera is powered by an Anba A12 Image processor and gets Sony’s IMX206 image sensor.
Beside standard mode, Xiaomi provides four different modes in the Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera to provide versatility. The Mi Panoramic camera features a 1600mAh non-removable battery and comes with 6-axis EIS (electronic image stabilization). Besides the pre-loaded apps, Images taken from the camera can be edited using an independent app.
Other Connectivity options in the device include Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.As per Chinese media reports, the camera will be available for sale from April 6 on Xiaomi Mall. Continuing its old tradition, it would be rolled out to other countries after China.
Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 along with the Mi Panoramic 360-degree camera. The tablet features a 7.9-inch Retina display (2048×1536) with a pixel density of 326ppi. It is powered by hexa-core MediaTek MT8176 processor and is coupled with 4GB LPDDR3 of RAM.
