Xiaomi might be provoking its Chinese fans to put up the new Mi 6X on its official Weibo page. The company also posted few selfies clicked using Xiaomi Mi 6X. In addition to this it was also mentioned that the phone uses a 20-megapixel camera at the front. This information also confirms that Mi 6X might use a camera setup that would be similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro and there would not be any major changes.
Xiaomi has also posted selfies in portrait mode as well as in various dark conditions. The X-series device that was released earlier would capture broken portraits using the primary dual-lens camera, but it did not do the same with the front camera.
The new phone is expected to come with a dual lens setup that features a 20 megapixel IMX376 module and one 12megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor. These sensors have an aperture of f/1.8 to make it a better lowlight camera. In addition, the front sensor features 20megapixel Sony sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Mi 6X, which will be launched later in India, is powered by a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 660 chipset. The low variant comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. The mid variant comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the top variant of the phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
This phone features a 5.99-inch display with FullHD+ resolution having 2910 mAh capacity battery. In addition, the phone would come with a USB Type-C but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. Mi A2 would use the same pricing strategy as the previous iteration of Mi A1.
This week, a promotional video of this new device was also found on YouTube and was uploaded by a third party channel. Xioami would hold a launch event on April 25 where it would launch Mi 6X officially.
