The Facebook-owned messaging service is looking for some significant updates in the coming year, and it seems like it hasn’t done updating for this year. As per the sources, WhatsApp has included the latest feature in the iOS Beta update. This feature will allow the user to revoke the messages and edit the sent messages.
WhatsApp with the version number 188.8.131.529 is included with many crucial changes. But the major update is modifying the sent messages. These updates are yet to available for public directly, only for the beta preview.
One of the best tipsters has mentioned that if the sender revokes a read or unread message, the data which can be text or media files like video/image will be deleted from the recipient’s phone as well.
Apart from this, the build also shows that the new delete icon right after to the status, which will let you remove the entry as WhatsApp. In coming updates, we can also expect the timeline feature in WhatsApp, which is currently working on it.
Some of the features and updates mentioned here were known in the earlier stages. The most important feature, removal of the media files on the other person’s phone is probably a bug of some issues.
As of now, we cannot say much about this updates and you can consider the most important takeaway from this release is the revoke option. This revoke option can be seen by long press on the specific message.
WhatsApp hasn’t rolled out the timeline update yet, which was reported a few weeks ago. Consider this information as the pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement.
