Mobile World Congress MWC Shanghai 2017 brings the latest smartphones, mobile innovations, and many other devices. The MWC sets the stage for the future of mobile phone with keynote speeches from tech giants across the world. Here are the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2017 updates.

Vivo Under Display Technology:

This new Vivo under display technology tips out something new which other big players like Apple and Samsung are trying hard for. Fingerprint sensors on a smartphone have become a common thing even on low-budget smartphones. Yet, the fingerprint sensor on a smartphone made only its place in physical home buttons or dedicated sensor. Now Vivo is coming up with its Under Display technology.

The Vivo under Display technology embeds the fingerprint sensor beneath the smartphone display. This technology was built in collaboration with Qualcomm and works only through a glass, OLED screen, and aluminum. Thus, a manufacturer does not require positioning the biometric sensor on the phone.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 450:

Qualcomm has announced its latest Snapdragon 450 SoC, as the 400-series SoC made its debut at MWC Shanghai 2017. This new smartphone platform ensures an improved performance and less power consumption. Fabricated using the 14nm FinFET process, the hardware gets features above regular budget-friendly 400-series range of Qualcomm chipsets. The Snapdragon 450 is unveiled as the successor to the earlier Snapdragon 435.

Snapdragon 450 claims 25 percent increase in CPU and GPU performance over Snapdragon 435. Battery life will also get improved with the Snapdragon 450 and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Essentially, this provides fast charging solutions to budget devices. Also, it tweaks faster LTE connectivity, dual-camera setups support and real-time bokeh effects in photography.
