Placements in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) for the year 2016-2017 ended on a high note. Students got offers from around 325 recruiters recorded the highest pay Rs 29.76 lakh.

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is an Indian University located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The University is known for its education and research in fields of energy and power. Due to its industry aligned courses, it’s always preferred by the recruiters.

UPES completed the final leg of placements for the year 2016-2017 with high packages. This year around 1527 Jobs was offered to the students while 1,447 students got placed. The placements took place at the three basic colleges of UPES which includes College of Engineering Studies (COES), College of Management and Economic Studies (COMES), and College of Legal Studies (COLS). The percentage of students qualified in these placements respectively is 90%, 94%, and 85%.

Top notch companies namely IBM, INFOSYS, KPIT, NESTLE, PHILIP CARBON BLACK LIMITED, SHELL, SONY, TECH MAHINDRA are the few among others. The first-time recruiters are Adobe, Armstrong, Amazon, Aditya Birla Solar, Athena Legal, Arka Consulting, Azure Power, Birlasoft, Byjus Think & Learn, Cognizant, etc

Besides, 17 students from 8 programs of B.TECH, M.Tech, MBA have been hired by general companies such as Weatherford Drilling International, Shreyas Relay Systems, Mount Meru, Outlook Industrial Consultants, etc. The students however posted in different countries like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, etc.

We enable the same for our students through our domain-specific, industry-endorsed programs that are co-designed, co-delivered and co-certified by our industry partners.”
