The Online examination by the UP Police Recruitment and PAC (Promotion Armed Constabulary) for recruitment of sub-inspectors which are scheduled for July 25 and July 26 got canceled after the complaints of paper leak, an Official said.
The Uttar Pradesh Government canceled the examination on Monday and the candidates appearing in the exams have been informed.
The process of examination for recruiting 2,709 sub-inspectors is ongoing, and the question papers of the examination leaked online two days before. Later, the Chief Minister’s office is filled with complaints regarding the issue, that how come the paper went viral on the web even before the exam.
Earlier, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged a CBI investigation in Uttar Pradesh Provisional Civil Services (UPPCS) appointments made during the erstwhile SP-led appointment. Now, the state government canceled the entrance exam due to purported paper leak.
Acknowledging the issue, the Chief Minister’s office directed the state police chief’s office and the home department to look into the matter. Shri Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary Home in UP later confirmed the cancellation of the exam to be conducted on Tuesday. The Official said the rescheduled dates of the exam will be displayed on the website @ uppbpb.gov.in.
