Apple iPhone was in the news everyday for all its latest news and updates. However, this time, iPhone was in the news for wrong reason. Yes, two persons have been arrested by Delhi police for stealing Apple iPhones worth Rs. 2.25 crore. Two people robbed brand new Apple iPhone devices from Mahipalpur area in South Delhi.

According to the latest reports, Delhi Police said that two persons from South Delhi had stolen more than 1000 iPhones from a truck carrying full of iPhone 5s.

They recovered more than 900 mobile phones from them which cost nearly Rs. 2.25 crore along with one car used for the robbery. Meanwhile, Delhi police identified the two accused people as MehtabAlam and Arman. Both have been arrested from Rangpuri Area of South Delhi.

According to the Police reports, the robbery took place on 13th September, when the truck with full of IPhones traveling from Okhla area of South Delhi to Dwaraka in South West Delhi. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) claimed that the two persons along with their helpers put the truck driver confined before stealing the mobile phones near Rajokri Flyover.

The officer also confirmed that the suspects discarded the driver near Dwaraka Link Road.In Investigation, it was confirmed that two robbers Bhola and Pradeep were the former truck drivers who had left their jobs two weeks ago.

The officer also said that “On the incident day, we found that both the drivers had followed the same route which was followed by the truck carrying mobile phones.”Delhi police are busy in catching the remaining people who participated and helped the Robbery.
