Social Networking Platform Twitter is trying its best to show its mark in the tech industry. According to the reports, Twitter is working to introduce GIF keyboard support for Android users.The new feature is being under testing in the beta version of the application.

So it will soon allow for direct searches for GIFs through Google’s Gboard. In order to complement the Android 7.1 Nougat, the Twitter will be rolling out this support in the next update.

Twitter’s New Explore Tab: Moments, Trends and Search at One Place

Only users with Android 7.1 version can directly insert the GIF, and Twitter didn’t have the support. In the beta version released recently, Twitter updated this new option. The current Twitter version of 6.33.0-beta.556 is available as APK, which is compatible with Android 4.1 and higher.

Users who had installed this beta version of Twitter can use this new feature which enables them to search GIFS using Gboard. GIF insertions are made with easy search and selecting with a single tap from the results. This support will be available for both direct messages (DMs) as well as tweets.
