Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad allegedly argued with cops at Latur in Marathwada region for ‘non-functioning’ of ATM. Videos of the verbal spat between police and Gaikwad, along with his supporters have gone viral in social media.
The Member of Lok Sabha is purportedly seen arguing with a police officer in the video which is shot during his protest over non-function of ATMs at Latur. The Osmanabad constituency MP reached Latur yesterday had sent his assistant to withdraw money from an ATM at Latur.
ATM’s running out of cash has prompted Sena MP to protest with his supporters outside an ATM. Gaikwad shouted on policemen when they requested him to discontinue his protest as it was obstructing the vehicular traffic.
“There is no money in the ATMs for the last 15 days. What should we do?” Gaikwad explains his version of the incident.

“The BJP-led government asked us to give them 50 days (after demonetization, for normalization of financial transactions). We gave them 100 days, then 200 days. It is the job of the (Union) finance minister and the finance minister of Maharashtra. It is also the job of the guardian minister of Latur district to rectify the situation.”
