Early morning, seven coaches of Shaktipunj Express travelling from Jabalpur to Howrah derailed near Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh. The accident caused no harm to the people, and all are safe, the report says.

Railway Ministry Anil Saxena said the derailment took place in the early morning around 6:25 AM and no one is injured in the accident. He also added, we immediately cleared the site, and all the passengers were out on the remaining coaches. The area got cleared by 7:28 AM.

According to the reports, the train was travelling at an average speed of 40 Km/hr which prevented a major accident from happening. This is the third accident to happen in Uttar Pradesh in less than a month.

Recently on August 23, about 100 passengers got injured of Kaifiyat Express derailed after crashing in to a dumper carrying construction material for railway work. On August 19, over 22 were killed, and 156 are injured in the Utkal Express derail in Muzaffarnagar district.
