Sarkar 3 Movie Review TFL

Sarkar 3 is the much awaited third instalment of the blockbuster Sarkar series directed by Ram Gopal Varma and starred by Amitabh. Bachchan plays the role of an angry old man in the movie. The second part features Amitabh with his real life son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya. However, as Abhishek’s role dies at the end of the film, the actor is not a part of the third part. As this is the first release of Amitabh in 2017, and trailers are too good, the expectations on the movie are sky high. Did the movie succeed in reaching the expectation? Let’s see.

Sarkar 3 Movie Review:

Movie Name: Sarkar 3

Director: Ram Gopal Varma

Producer: Rahul Mittra, Anand Pandit, Gopal Shivram Dalvi, Krishnan Choudhary, WeOne

Story:

Amitabh Bachchan just like the previous parts plays the role of Subhash Nagre (Sarkar). Annu Karkare (Yami Gautam) wants revenge from Sarkar as he killed her father and constantly tries to conspire against him. However, the only grandson of Sarkar Shivaji Nagre also known as Cheeku falls in love with her. On the other side, a corporate official threatens Sarkar. Sarkar is constantly in rivalry with Michael Valya (Jackie Shroff).

Cast and Crew:

Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest asset of the film. His exceptional acting and dialogue delivery are incredible. He just gives life to the Subhash Nagre role. Yami first time played a negative shaded role. She always conspires against Sarkar which showed a different side of her and she executed the role very well. Jackie Shroff suited the Michael Vallya a Dubai-based don role very brilliantly. Amit Sadh is equally good as Cheeku. Manoj Bajpayee acting in the movie is a whole new level. The entire cast and crew did a tremendous job.

Technical Team:

As this is an RGV brand movie, the film includes the tight shots of dogs in the living room, Yami’s eyes, and even cup handles too. Because of constant failure, RGV became a flop director, and Sarkar 3 is the only chance to change that. However, the things haven’t done his way this time too. This political drama is not that good as the previous ones. RGV’s camera angles are obscure. His direction is totally out of form. The story is very dull and intolerably slow. The dialogues and the background score are just average.

Plus Points:

  • Amitabh
  • Ganapathi Visarjan scene

Minus Points:

  • Plot
  • Slow second half
  • Over fictitious scenes
  • Judgement:

Sarkar 3, despite the previous parts success, haven’t done well. The movie doesn’t even reach at least half of the expectations. Maybe the expectations are set too high, and the story utterly failed even to try to get them. Some scenes are far from reality. The second half of the story is annoyingly dull. The script f the movie is average but failed regarding execution.

Finally Verdict:

Sarkar 3 is a boring and slow ride, but Amitabh fans might love the film because of his performance. Ram Gopal Varma Failed to satisfy Sarkar fans. (2/5)
