Later, it reveals that she is his childhood crush, from whom he got separated many years ago. The rest of the story is all about, how he woos her and what are the hurdles he faces during this process.
Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen Cast and crew:
Cast: Udhayanidhi Stalin, Regina Cassandra, Soori, Yogi Babu, Chams, Mansoor Ali Khan, Robo Shankar, Manobala, Srushti Dange
Duration: 2 hours 5 minutes
Screenplay and performances:
Director Ezhil has succeeded in building up the story in the backdrop of a village and also succeeded in using the comedians perfectly. After his last film, Vekauby Vandhutta Vellaikaaran has come up with this another comedy entertainer. It is full of some rib-tickling sequences. The film has the same artists who gave their best with an unpredictable sense of humor in his last outing. But the film has completely failed to reach the expectations that were created by his last project. With same onliners and repetitive punch dialogues, most of the scenes will make the audience feel bored and also test their patience. One biggest asset of this project is its run time which is just 125 minutes.
In the role of Saravanan (Udhayanidhi), who is a lazy and an ineffective youngster, he gave a fantastic performance. The way he gets into a national political party, and in the role of Kalyanam, Soori mesmerized the audience. He earlier has eyes in that position and leaves to Dubai to get it. Unfortunately, he lost the chance and started to take revenge on his enemies. In the character of Veera Singam, Mansoor Ali Khan impressed the audience. He is after Kalyanam to settle some personal scores and is awaiting his return from Dubai.
Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen Rating: 2/5
Apart from this political drama, Saravanan’s childhood friend Thenmozhi (Regina Cassandra) comes to the story and that followed by a series of not sync scenes. When Thenmozhi’s parents decide to marry her to Veera Singam’s son Rajadurai, he realizes that he is in love with her and don’t want her to marry to Rajadurai. Slowly, she also starts liking him and not even aware that she falls in love with him later.
The film is touted to be a comedy entertainer, but with unexpected twists and turns, it becomes irritating for the audience to bear for a long time. If there are few changes in the screenplay and story, then definitely the film will allure the audience. With mindless flashback scenes, which involves the active friendship between Saravanan and Fathima (Srushti Dange) completely spoils the smooth narration. The random and boring sequences are other disadvantages of the film. Sometimes, the audience can easily predict what is going to happen next. With forcibly laughing scenes, complex sequences and boring drama with worst song sequences, the film will give a headache to the audience.
