Rock On 2 is a musical love drama and it is a sequel to 2008 film Rock On. Abhishek Kapoor and Pubali Chaudhuri have penned the script and it is all about music and relationships. Director Shujaat Saudagar did a good job to present the film and his direction was simply superb. The director showed how relationships can get complex in a very attractive and sensitive way.
The lead actors Shraddha Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Shashank Arora and Prachi Desai had delivered stunning performances and did a justice for their characters. The chemistry between them is quite natural on screen. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani jointly bankrolled the film and they put a lot for taking project as best. The production values, cinematography, music and songs are main highlights in the movie.
Ehsaan Loy’s music is main attraction for the movie. Basically the plot is all about music and keeping this in mind, music composer Ehsaan has delivered wonderful tunes.
The film starts with a rather frustrated KD (Purab Kohli) telling us about what has gone wrong. Aditya (Farhan Akhtar) left the troop and is living in Meghalaya. Jeo (Arjun Rampal) is doing well for himself. Shraddha Kapoor performed well in her role. He was seen in a frustrated character and the reason if her struggle with her classical musician dad.
Overall, Rock On 2 is beautiful, sensitive and effective celluloid that can connect to all.
