While the Jio 4G telecom services have been put on track, the company is working on a Jio-powered laptop. Recent reports say that Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is focusing on launching a new Jio laptop in the Indian market. This on the go laptop will provide a dedicated SIM slot which expands 4G network user base in India. The company claims that this may work as the availability of good Wi-Fi zones lacks in the country.

The Jio laptop features may include 13.3-inch screen size and come with a Jio SIM card ready inside it. Essentially, the laptop will provide the web connectivity through Jio 4G network to the user. Besides that, the SIM in the slot on the left side on the laptop also allows VoLTE calls.

Reports unveil that Foxconn which built a computer for InFocus will produce the laptop. The new laptop from Jio may run on Windows or Chrome OS and will support all of the Android-based Jio apps. The device is powered by current-generation Intel Pentium quad-core processor and does have HD camera for video calls.

The rumored laptop from Jio may pack 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC or 128GB SDD storage on board. Coming to physical looks, the laptop gets a sleek design alloy body with a thickness of 12.2mm and 1.2kg weight.
