Reliance Group has unveiled the wide range of IoT (Internet of Things) services with their new venture ‘Unlimit’.  Reliance has launched this service with the partnership of Jasper, Now Cisco Company. This IoT services will be provided to the enterprise customers across India.

Juergen Hase, CEO IoT Business of Reliance Group says, “Reliance will play a major role in redefining the IoT landscape in India in the coming days.”

“The outlook for IoT services in India is virtually UNLIMITed, with the number of connected devices projected to rise from 200 million today to around 3 billion by 2020, and revenues set to increase from $5.6 billion today to USD 15 billion in 2020,” says  Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, Group Managing Director, Reliance Group.

The IoT is powered by the machine to machine communication and it is mainly refers to the microprocessor and sensor-fitted gadgets. Apart from these, the ‘things’ in the same network talking to each other. Swapping the real time data and the information to perform the certain actions.

If you consider the example, connect the devices with the live information with one another. This includes vehicle-to-vehicle communication, smart vending machines, smart buildings and more. This technology can be applied in the different sectors like retail, manufacturing and healthcare and more.

The company also said that, adding the combination of Reliance’s mobile networks & cloud services along with Cisco Jasper IoT connectivity management platform will enhance the wide-ranging solutions for the smart city initiatives across the country.

Juergen Hase, CEO of UNLIMIT said IoT as a critical enabler for India’s growth. As the Cisco Jasper is parented with more than 30 mobile operator groups which is representing over 120 mobile networks worldwide. Things will become simple for the businesses in India for expanding their IoT services to the new countries.

Cisco is hiring the IoT engineering talents in India for joining the Cisco Jasper team in the development centre in Bengaluru.
