Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Communications launches a new plan RCom unlimited 149 plan. In a bid to counter Reliance Jio, the company has launched this new Reliance Communications 149 unlimited plan in which subscribers can enjoy unlimited voice calls including STD calls and 300MB of data that can consume over 2G, 3G and 4G networks in India.

“Our new pioneering yet simple Unlimited Plan has the potential to trigger a paradigm shift in the way Indians recharge their mobile phones, creating a significant change in the telecom market. It moves away from the ‘Unit Rate’ charging regime to a ‘Single Recharge, and Unlimited Usage’ system,” the Co-CEO of Reliance Communications Gurdeep Singh said in company’s release.

In compare to Reliance Jio, this new Reliance Communications 149 unlimited plan doesn’t require a 4G VoLTE capable smartphone and applies to any device. Reliance Jio also announced regular telecom monthly plan starts from Rs. 149 after offering all its free offers.

And this Reliance Jio Rs. 149 plan includes unlimited voice calling and 300MB data. “Our Unlimited Plan will see millions of Indians benefit, and help RCOM ramp up its customer base and engage with higher-value customers and greater ARPUs,” Singh added.

The new Reliance Communications 149 unlimited plan has targeted mainly to those users can don not has 4G smartphones. The latest prepaid tariff plan has currently available in 17 RCom circles and is not available in five eastern markets where the telecom does not have 2G airwaves.

The company has clearly mentioned that there are no hidden charges or any additional conditions with the RCom unlimited 149 plan. However, all the RCom subscribers can enjoy unlimited voice calls and STD calls for one month to any network to any phone across India.
