Reliance communications has recently moved their CDMA subscribers to the 4G platform. This migration is also included subscribers with, CDMA based fixed wireless phones (FWP). During the upgrade, the company has offered a GSM based FWP device for their subscribers. Now the company has their first FWP device supporting the 4G VoLTE enabled.
This latest device looks like the regular landline telephone. Instead of the regular copper wire, it is connected wirelessly for the Rcom 4G network. This device can be carried to anywhere across India freely, where you can get the 4G service by Rcom.
The FWP device will have the antenna which is having the dual functionality. This receives the LTE signal and also emits the Wi-Fi signal. So it acts as the router and capable of connecting to 5 devices simultaneously.
The calls over the 4G FWP devices are with HD Voice quality as it supports Voice over LTE. It also supports SMS and cascading the YouTube on your smart TV. The tariff plans arrives with the bundled pack of 2 or 4 GB, after the existing data is exhausted, the user needs to subscribe for the add-on packs for continuing the data services.
The tariff plans regarding the 4G FWP are mentioned here. The Voice minutes provided over the bundled plans are usable for both the on-net and the off-net calls and other networks. You can also make the calls for both the mobile as well as landline to local and National wide. After the exhausting of the free minutes the calls will be chargeable around 40p Min. SMS will be charged at 25p for local and 38p for STD in home and as well as in roaming.
