Rajasthan board has announced the class 10th and 12th results recently. The Rajasthan girls score 78.89 per cent in class 10 whereas boys stood at 79.01 per cent. Girls are trying to shine in every field especially in education. To encourage girls in education, the state government has announced the cash prize for girl toppers from classes 8, 10 and 12 and “Varishtha Upadhyay” exam toppers among girls will also receive a scooty as a reward.
Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has also announced the reward of Rs 10,000/- for the girls who clear class 10 exams. Every state in India is encouraging girls to education as a part of ‘Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao’ programme.
After Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan government is awarding the girl toppers with cash prize and scooty to improve the women education in state. The eligible candidates for the cash prize are female students of class 8, 10 and 12 of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education and its affiliate schools. The cash prizes range from Rs 40,000 for class 8 girl toppers and Rs 75,000 and Rs 1 lakh for class 10 and class 12 toppers respectively.
School Education Minister, Vasudev Devnani said that all the meritorious female students will be awarded with certificates during award ceremonies which will be held in each district on Basant Panchami. The District toppers must score at least 60 per cent to avail the reward. This scheme will come into existence in the academic session of 2017-18.
