Nithyananda Shenoy (Mammootty) is a middle-aged businessman with lots of black money stuffed living in Kasargod district. The movie features how an ordinary man survives the surgical attack of government on black money. The movie focuses more on the Demonetization implemented in November 2016 and the problems a common man may suffer because of the sudden big note ban.
Puthan Panam Review:
Mammootty is undoubtedly an asset to the movie. He mesmerizes the audience with his acting skills. His voice speaking the dialect of Kasaragod is pretty much convincing. He looked extremely elegant and handsome as Nithyananda Shenoy in the movie. Iniya did a decent job as a mother of the 8th-grade student. The story invokes curiosity and excitement in the audience which makes them stick to the chairs the entire time.
The movie was released in 137 screens all over the state. The movie still needs to be released outside of the state. Ranjith-Mammootty combination an eye candy and worth watching. Background score by Achu Rajamani is terrific. Om Prakash Cinematography is worth appreciation. Songs by Shaan Rahman are exquisite. The interval bang is so thrilling but the second half is predictable on some level.
Puthan Panam Movie Rating: 3.5/5
- Mammootty Action
- Background score
- Predictable story
- Failed to show some critical challenges a common man
Finally, As we have all suffered and survived the problems of Demonetization, Puthan Panam is good to watch. Mammootty is the special attraction in the movie.
