Today, PepsiCo claimed to decrease the sugars in their drinks by the year 2025. 2/3 of its drinks at present have 100 calories per 12 oz of consumption. Currently, these candied beverages form 40% of PepsiCo’s drinks.
The soda maker has witnessed a steep decline in the sales when compared to its previous years and hence the decision to revive about the compositions and other alternatives has been focused.
As per the Beverage Digest’s annual report, full volume of soda consumed by the US born citizens dropped by 1.2% in the year 2015. This is much higher when compared to a drop of 0.9% in the year 2014.
Americans born consume Coca-Cola have been dropped by 1% and Pepsi by 3.2% in volumes.
The reason for these declining of numbers is evidentially due to the scientific and medical reasons. The cholesterol levels being very high in these drinks. The Calories is the main reason for the obesity. Hence, the Americans have chosen to keep away such drinks on the basis of health reasons.

Indra Nooyi, PepsiCo CEO announced that 25% of the total sales come from soda products. Nutritionally-savvy products are more focused by the company to increase their sales. It is for the wellness and health interests of the consumer’s health. The company is investing in other products too like Tea, coffee, juices and bottled water.
